What We Do
Since 1954, McCall's has been providing life, social, vocational, and residential support to adult men and
women with developmental disabilities. We actively promote the acquisition of skills necessary for making
independent, responsible choices; being a productive member of society; being a good neighbor in the
community; and living a dignified, happy and self-determined life.
Facilities
Located on 196 beautifully wooded acres in the rolling hills of east-central Oklahoma, McCall's offers a
complete infrastructure to serve virtually every need. On the main campus, twelve cottages with individually
decorated bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas and kitchens are home to twelve residents each. Cottages
have full kitchens, and their own laundry facilities. There are two facilities serving individuals who are
medically fragile with 24 hour licensed nursing available. We have two group homes, Woodridge and
Oakcrest. We also have The Woodlands I and Woodlands II, 30-unit quadriplexes that offer one-bedroom
apartments within the community. With full kitchens, a living-dining area, laundry facility, community center
and a resident manager, The Woodlands I and II offer a unique, supervised, yet independent living
arrangement. Rental assistance is available for qualified, low-income persons. Other facilities include a
full-sized gymnasium, an enclosed, heated swimming pool, open air pavilions and parks, laundry facility, a
visitation and recreation area, and therapeutic work areas.
Work Opportunities
We provide numerous employment opportunities for our service users in the community and in our Odyssey
Work Program. Several of our residents are on our yard crew doing lawn mowing, raking, edging and
trimming both on and off campus. We have several residents on a janitorial crew that clean office buildings
throughout the Ada area. Another job placement is our thrift store here in Ada where several of the
residents work. And for the clients who wish to stay on campus during the day we have the Odyssey Work
Program where they do sorting, stacking, assembling, wrapping and packaging of several products.
